INDICATIONS & USAGE
For the treatment and control of body fungus "columnaris," fin and tail rot, popeye and gill disease in freshwater - tetras, cichlids, livebearers, catfish and goldfish and saltwater - angelfish, clownfish, damsels and other common species caused by Flavobacterium columnare, Haemophilus piscium, Aeromonus punctata, Aeromonus hydrophila and Cytophaga aquatilis bacteria.
INDICATIONS: Read enclosed brochure carefully before using. Use of a hospital tank is recommended. No water changes, pH, or temperature adjustments necessary if readings are in ideal range (freshwater pH 6.4 to 7.6/Saltwater pH 8.0 - 8.4, temperature 68 to 86°F). Remove all chemical filtration (carbon, ion exchange resins) before use. Aeration and water flow should be maintained. Turn off protein skimmers before treatment; resume use after completion of treatment. Do not perform water changes during treatment if possible. Antibiotics can negatively affect beneficial bacteria which remove ammonia and nitrite from water. Testing for ammonia and nitrite is recommended. Chemical ammonia removers such as Fritz Aquatics A.C.C.R. may be used during treatment to prevent ammonia poisoning of the fish. This product is not recommended for use with reef aquariums. Note: Maracyn can cause water to appear cloudy or to have floating particles.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
DIRECTIONS: One complete course of treatment will take 5 days. Treat for the full course of treatment even if visible signes of infection or illness disappear.
Day One through Five: Add the contents of one packet per 10 gallons of water to be treated.
Day Six: Perform a 25 to 30% water change. If necessary, a second full course of treatment may be performed starting on Day Seven.
