Purpose

Oral Anesthetic
Topical Anesthetic

Uses

For the temporary relief of pain to oral mucosal tissue associated with denture irritations, deep scaling of teeth, suture removals, canker sores, matrix band removal, and periodontal procedures.

Warnings

  • Use smallest amount possible to achieve desired result.
  • Do not eat for one hour following use.
  • Do not chew gum or food while numbness persists.
  • Apply to area with a cotton applicator as needed.
  • If the following symptoms appear: weakness, confusion, headache, difficulty breathing and/or pale, gray or blue coloured skin, stop use and consult a heath care practitioner. These symptoms may be signs of methemoglobinemia, a rare disorder, which may appear up to 2 hours after use.
  • Do not use if allergic to benzocaine or any other ingredient in the product.
  • Use with caution in children.
  • Hypersensitivity/allergy has been known to occure, in which case, discontinue use.
  • Store in a tight container.
  • Protect from light.

Directions

3-4 times per day or as directed by dentist or doctor.

Adults and children 2 years of age or older

Apply to the affected area. Allow to remain in place at least 1 minute and then spit out.

Children under 12 years of age

Should be supervised in the use of the product.

Children under 2 years of age

Consult a dentist or doctor.

Other information:

Do not use if imprinted seal under cap is broken or missing.

Store at 59° to 86° F (15° to 30° C)

Inactive ingredients:

Flavoring, polyethylene glycol base, sodium saccharin.

Utilisation

Pour le soulagement temporaire de la douleur causée par les muqueuses buccales provoquée par l'irritation due aux prothéses dentaires, le détartrage profond des dents, l'enlèvement de points, les aphtes, le retrait de la matrice et les plaies parodontales.

Avertissements

  • Utiliser la plus petite quantité possible pour obtenir le résultat désiré.
  • Après l'utilisation, ne pas manger pendant une heure.
  • Si l'engourdissement persiste, ne pas mâcher de gomme ou prendre de la nourriture.
  • Appliquer sur la région á traiter á l'aide d'un applicateur de coton si nécessaire.
  • Si ces symptômes apparaissent : faiblesse, confusion, mal de tête, difficulté à respirer ou encore peau pâle, grise ou bleue, arrêter l'utilisation et consulter un professionnel de la santé. Ces symptômes peuvent être le signe d'une méthémoglobinémie, trouble rare, qui peut survenir jusqu'à deux heures après usage.
  • Ne pas utiliser si vous êtes allergique à la benzocaïne ou à tout autre ingrédient du produit.
  • Utiliser avec prudence chez les enfants.
  • Des symptômes d'hpersensibilité et d'allergie ont déjà été observés; si c'est le cas, arrêter l'utilisation.
  • Ranger dans un contenant étroit.
  • Protéger de la lumière.

Directives

Prendre 3 ou 4 fois par jour ou tel que prescrit par votre dentiste ou votre médecin.

Adultes et enfants de 2 ans et plus

Appliquer sur la région affectée. Laisser en place pendant au moins 1 minute puis cracher.

Enfants de moins de 12 ans

Ne pas leur administrer ce médicament sans supervision.

Enfants de moins de 2 ans

Consulter un dentiste ou un médecin.

Autres renseignements :

Ne pas utiliser si le sceau gravé sous le bouchon est manquant ou abimé. Conserver à une température entre 15 °C et 30 °C (entre 59 °F et 86 °F).

Ingrédients inactifs :

Arôme, base de polyéthylène glycol, saccharine sodique.
