    Coccidiostat

  • Active ingredient

    Decoquinate................................................................................................................. 6% (27.2 g/lb)

  • Ingredients

    Corn meal, soybean oil, lecithin and silicon dioxide

  • DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION

    Must be mixed with other ingredients before feeding. Do not use in feeds containing bentonite. Mixing and conveying equipment should be properly grounded.

  • Cattle

    For the prevention of coccidiosis in ruminating and non-ruminating calves (including veal calves) and cattle caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zuernii.

    Thoroughly mix Deccox into the ration at a rate to provide 22.7mg decoquinate per 100lbs (0.5mg/kg) of body weight. Feed for at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard. Coccidiostats are not indicated for use in adult animals due to continuous previous exposure.

    This supplement must be mixed with grain at the rate of 1 part supplement with 9 parts grain. The resulting mixture contains 0.05% decoquinate and is then to be fed at the rate of 1/10 lb per 100 lbs body weight daily.

                                b. Liquid  - Type B Medicated Feed

    • (1)Add the appropriate amount of Deccox to liquid supplement to provide the proper decoquinate level per head daily (see table below).
    • (2)The pH of the supplement must be between 5.0 to 6.5.
    • (3)Supplements must contain a suspending agent to maintain viscosity of not less than 500 centipoises.

    The following formula can be used to calculate the amount of Deccox (6% decoquinate) to be included in one ton of feed to provide the daily dosage of 22.7 mg decoquinate per 100 lbs body weight.

    Note: Mix Deccox in a ratio of 1:9 with ground grain prior to adding it to the mixer.

    For the prevention of coccidiosis in young sheep caused by Eimeria ovinoidalis, E. crandallis, E. parva, and E. bakuensis.

    Thoroughly mix Deccox into the ration at a rate to provide 22.7mg decoquinate per 100lbs (0.5mg/kg) of body weight. Feed for at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard.

    For the prevention of coccidiosis in broiler chickens - caused by Eimeria tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. mivati, E. maxima, and E. brunetti.

    Thoroughly mix one (1) pound of Deccox in each ton of complete ration and feed continuously

    Warning

    Do not feed to laying hens producing eggs for human consumption

  • Goats

    For Complete Ration - Type C Medicated Feed

    For the prevention of coccidiosis in young goats caused by Eimeria christenseni and E. ninakohlyakimovae.

    Thoroughly mix Deccox into the ration at a rate to provide 22.7mg decoquinate per 100lbs (0.5mg/kg) of body weight. Feed for at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis exposure or when experience indicates that coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard.
